I am theoretically switching over from Reddit to Lemmy. Finding myself spending more time on Lemmy than on Reddit. Maybe it’s because I am limited to using the desktop and can’t aimlessly browse Reddit on my iPhone. Of late, the only subreddits I cared for were on sports and their matchday threads and r/watches. I found myself aimlessly browsing through r/AskReddit and asking and answering pointless questions.

Personally, Im using apollo until it goes dark. After that, Im going to try my best to migrate over, but Im just having a hard time finding my good area. I like it here a lot, but sometimes I just wanna mindlessly scroll and that feels moreso out of place here. Dont get me wrong, I like it here, but its usually more discussion and thought and less so killing time.

i understand. I thought it best to just tear the bandaid off. I have actually been trying to read books more, instead of the scroll. I know it sounds crazy, lol. I feel like it is a mentally healthier choice to try to cut down on it. At least for me.

Same, getting ready to delete my 13 y/o account but using Apollo until the very end. Still new to Lemmy and tbh not really sure what I’m doing.
