@burgersc12 So the answer is no, you can’t. “Extinction” is not a part of it. Let’s not use hyperbolic language. It hurts our cause, and gives the fossil fuel lackeys ammunition.

Why be pessimistic still though? The sun will go supernova in a few million years too.

It’s not a few million years, it’s 4 or 5 BILLION years. And also it’s not big enough to go supernova. It’ll lose its outer layers (which will vaporize Earth and the other rocky planets!), and end up a white dwarf.
