The Chinese manufacturers get huge subsidies from the Chinese government in the whole EV supply chain and consumers get big subsidies from members state governments to buy them so they are significantly cheaper than European or American made vehicles, be it buses or cars due to the much cheap labour in China.

Labour point doesn’t really work when the western manufacturers also build in China factories.
