    I believe the owner of Lemmy World said that the lemmy.world community should stay on topic and just be about the instance in general and people moved general memes/off-topic chats elsewhere. That’s probably why your post is locked.

      Really? Okay. If they’re starting to piss of people who post stuff in good faith while still on a learning curve, I’m gonna be out of here in no time.

        Man, I don’t think locking your post is an insult or anything, they just don’t want the community to be flooded with people talking about Reddit. It’s not like you got banned.

        You have to read the community info. That community is for discussing lemmy.world and providing support/ updates. There’s a stickied post at the top explaining it further. There are communities to discuss Reddit.

        I agree that its very confusing especially since thats the “default” top community recommended when posting, and has the same name as the entire instance so sounds like its a general discussion community when in fact its reserved for admin announcements. But at the same time I think everyone (including @Ruud and others) are on a learning curve so i don’t think you should take it personally. We’ll all figure things out soon :)
