When the Eurovision Song Contest returns in 2024, TaP Music (the management company behind the likes of Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding) will not be responsible for helping choose the UK's representative. Over the past two years, TaP (headed up by Ben Mawson and Ed Millett) has helped the BBC in choosing the acts the UK have sent to the Eurovision stage; Sam Ryder and Mae Muller.
Kinda feels like a non-article since they’d only planned to be involved short-term anyhow, but I must take this opportunity to say Sam should have won and Mae, though not the top song imo, was way up there and was positively robbed (eta they were doing something right).
It seems like politics has been especially egregious in the last few years, and I hope this year is better. I guess I get the Sweden thing last year (though I’m salty that’s the song they won with), but come on.
