I don’t know about that. When I worked at a repair shop we had tons of tools specifically for melting glue without harming the hardware. I’ve melted the adhesive that holds together ipad minis with a specialty heat plate. Apple for sure needs to get their shit together and make user serviceable devices, but there’s always a way around their bullshit.
Sounds like an opportunity for the DIYers out there to come up with solutions, look like heroes and make Apple look bad.
