I really just want a TNG-era, post-Dominion War, post-Voyager series with mostly, if not all, new cast. Cameos now and then from TNG, DS9, and Voyager characters would be great but not essential.
There’s tons of storytelling potential there with themes of recovering from a large-scale war to dealing with the power vacuum after the end of Romulus, so an Admiral Picard or Admiral Janeway cameo, for example, would be totally doable.
I was hoping that’s what they planned to spinoff from with the Picard series. I was disappointed seing the “new crew” put on busses and replaced with more of the old crew instead. Still enjoyed most of Picard though.
