the OP asked how are they gonna remove them all, so I replied they’ll run a query for terms like “fuck spez”. only to find my comment invisible, because they’re already blocking it. spez protective word filter, it’s active right now.
lemmy doesn’t really have that barrier anymore. when i joined i had to figure it out, now there are guidelines on what a fediverse is and how to use lemmy.
Even if it has a small barrier to entry, thats not a horrible thing. Acts as a decent filter id say.
who’s it filtering out?
People who can’t figure out something as simple as signing up to and posting to lemmy.
Its like how the internet was before aol gave everyone easy access.
