I imagine that if they win the tender nothing much will change other than the logo.
I wonder if it would be more interesting to dispose of the monopoly and grades and simply keep the requirements of having tyre changes - perhaps two changes required for some tracks?
It would probably also require banning exclusive contracts with certain teams, like they had back in the day.
That would be awesome, but the tender is for a sole-supplier I believe, so if Bridgestone wins, Pirelli is completely out. No tyre competition like between Bridgestone and Michelin back in the days.
Seems like Pirelli isn’t able to deliver precisely what’s asked and have been making “as close as they can” tires, so sure let’s give Bridgestone a shot.
Part of me would be excited for another tyre war. But then I fear that one tyre manufacturer gets an advantage, and if Red Bull were with that manufacturer they would win by even more.
On the other hand, if Red Bull were on the worse tyre, that might bring them back to the field.
What do we all think about Bridgestone coming back to F1 as a tyre manufacturer?

Was this confirmed or is this still being decided?
I dont think a tyre competition would work in this era.
On a side note, thanks for making this mikeyd, it was much needed. Can it be pinned at the top?
