minus-square@Gregorechlink9•1 year agoThis was a native American trick, picked up by the boy scouts, on trail marking this tree doesn’t seem old enough to be a native trail marker. Odds are it was done by a scout for a merit badge in trail marking. It’s less invasive to stack a few rocks.
