OP is Canadian and we celebrate in October. And October Thanksgiving makes the most sense because we actually do have pumpkins and squash and harvest and all that happening, and guarantees you eight long weeks before seeing your conservative relatives at Christmas. I don’t know how the Americans stomach if at the end of November.
ah. one of the few dates that americans and the rest of the world agree on :D
happy thanksgiving to anyone celebrating it (and i hope OP didnt just say it randomly cus i have no idea when it actually is)
It was actually yesterday, funnily enough.
Did you unupvote yourself?
EDIT: We’ve both been upvoted. It’s ruined!
I did indeed. Unlike Reddit, unupvoting myself on Lemmy actually seems to stick, which I’m rather happy about.

The world can agree on what 10/10 means, just not exactly when it happens.

You guys have it on a Monday. That’s strange and scary to us.
Long weekend baby.
Whatever. We get two days off. Thursday and Friday. We win the long weekend war. You win… having national healthcare and promoting equality? Fuck.
Haha. Happy very early Thanksgiving mon ami.
