U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Benjamin Netanyahu he understood on a personal level 'the harrowing echoes that Hamas' massacres carry for Israeli Jews' and Washington was at Israel's side, as he began a Middle East trip also aimed at containing the conflict.
Why though? The ol “only democracy in ME” reason has gone due to Netanyahu’s power grab. Israel is now no different than the surrounding autocratic Arab nations. They have no oil either. So, why support Israel?
“Israel is the largest American aircraft carrier in the world that cannot be sunk, does not carry even one American soldier, and is located in a critical region for American national security.”

The majority of the reason: they are willing to work with the west.
Look at Saudi Arabia: Russia invaded Ukraine last year and cut gas exports to the west, claiming that Germans would freeze. What did Saudi Arabia do? They cut oil production and further drove up prices. Not only does that help Russia finance their invasion of Ukraine, it also made the German transition away from Russian gas more painful.
Israel is willing to work with the west, others aren’t, therefore the west is willing to work with Israel.
