seems like it’s 97% memes or news articles. i love a good shitpost but this site would be even better with in depth nuanced discussion – especially with a higher quality userbase than reddit

    You say most good apps. Are there any that don’t do it? It’s one of the reasons I don’t use apps for Lemmy.

      Jerboa didn’t when I was using it. It’s a pretty good app, it’s just missing a lot of filtering functionality.

      Avelon lets you choose how you want them to look. I personally have it showing downvotes when it hits controversial territory (25%).
