I get that losing something you previously had access to is frustrating, but people here act like they should have the privilege to get YouTube for free. That’s not how a company works.
Who here expected a company like this to pass up on making more money by allowing add blockers? You were cheating the system, and the system caught up. It sucks. Either find a new way to cheat the system or accept that they won.
I dont know why you’re downvoting cuz you are telling the truth. We can whine all we want but in the end there’s always a workaround when you put some effort in it
I still get ads on twitch from time to time but it’s just a 20sec thing at the start and once an hour or so. YouTube tho is unusable. Friends and I tried to get through ONE video on the discord YouTube activity and it’s horrible. Every 5 minutes the same annoying bullshit. If it does not drive you insane, there is something wrong with you.
Only other legal option would be premium but I don’t want to
I’m not saying the ads on Yt are acceptable, there’s no argument from me there. I’m saying a lot of people here are saying a company charging time or money for their services is wrong, and I disagree with that. It’s fair for Google to charge or give ads, and it’s fair for us to flock away because of it.
Google owes you nothing, and you don’t owe Google anything either.
YouTube has too many ads to begin with even before watching a video. I really don’t mind if I have to watch an ad after watching 2 or more videos but imagine getting 2 ads for every video and an ad after a part of the video. Doesn’t YouTube just want to milk money as much as it can from the non YouTube premium subscribers?
Yes, as is the right of the company as it’s their service. People pretend it’s unfair for Google to monetise YT and they should get access to YT unrestricted just because they found a way to use add blockers. Yt is free to try and monetise their service as good as they can, whether we like it or not

i don’t think anybody here is confused by how companies work. it’s more that they understand how they work, and they find it frustrating.
Well I’ve seen a few comments calling it greed and saying Google already earns enough money.
