Rae’s so sweet, trying to help Claire get close to Thane. It was adorable when Claire let Thane pat her head. And then really stuck the landing when it was called out that Ousama game has nothing to do with being king.
Also, I love this little tackling on the topic of homosexuality. It was great in the novels too and I’m glad they kept it in. It leads into a really raw conversation on the topic, and on Rae’s own complex feelings wrt Claire.
I’m really happy with how this is being adapted.
It was nice that they addressed our hero’s out and loud gay. When it comes to fantasy worlds, they can be any level of accepting, so its nice to see it acknowledged become a talking point.
