r/ModCoord: The admins in charge of demodded subreddits are mass-removing images of Huffman previously shared on them
the OP asked how are they gonna remove them all, so I replied they’ll run a query for terms like “fuck spez”. only to find my comment invisible, because they’re already blocking it. spez protective word filter, it’s active right now.
This kind of behavior is what got me to join Lemmy just now. (this is my first ever post in fact.)
I really wasn’t even onboard with the boycott. I thought it was silly and pointless and was planning to just stay on reddit, but then he had to tantrum like a child and go against the very spirit and point of reddit in process.
So here I am. I haven’t deleted my years old reddit account yet, but I probably will at this point. This lemmy federation thing seems like it will do quite nicely.
If you want to leave reddit with your middle finger held high, make sure to change all of your posts and comments to nonsense first, and then delete them. Then delete your account.

It can change all your comments to whatever you want eg “I’ve left Reddit for Lemmy”
Nah, I don’t care.
Also, that seems like too much effort. Especially with thousands of comments over years. Probably 10s of thousands.

To delete all your comments (it exports them to a file for you) and you can ask the program to instead write in the comments whatever you want eg “because of the actions of Reddit execs I have moved to lem my”
I think 5hey may be deleting posts that mention the word “Lemmy”
That isn’t really me. Besides, I’m thinking of a different approach.
