I’m sure people will correct me if I’m wrong, but I wanna say these look like oyster mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms are pretty common in the PNW. What a beautiful find.
Yeah, with all the surrounding foliage, it’s kind of hard to tell what it’s growing out of. Please excuse me, as I am a novice in the mycology world, but is a circular umbrella shape not a characteristic found in oyster mushrooms?
Generally oyster mushrooms grow out of a tree, usually hardwood, and I have only ever seen them with a shape like an oyster shell — meaning that they are not circular, but have a distinct “back.”
The mushrooms in this picture also have a little circle on top where the stem meets the cap, something I have never seen on a oyster mushroom. And the gills don’t blend into the stem. I would say there is basically no chance of these being oyster mushrooms, unless they are some weird regional variant I am not familiar with.

Definitely not an oyster mushroom, but I can’t tell you what it is because I’ve mostly only learned to identify edible mushrooms.
