For the record, yes I have contacted their manager and still no response. We needed some Chrome Management licenses, and could get them from CDW-G (I work at a library) with a 30% discount. Sent in the order, provided the needed on and off domain emails, then nothing. It’s not the first time, with previous times documented, so I have taken the issues to the Purchasing Coordinator for my city. No idea what, if anything, is going to happen next.

There’s other options for purchasing Google Admin Licenses. Any VAR/Reseller for tech should be able to source them either through them, or through a distributor.

Although check that you all actually need said licenses too. Sometimes you can “replace” a device in Google admin or if you’ve had devices go missing you can EOL them in Admin Console and get those licenses back.

IDK what CDW’s price is for y’all, but I’ve typically sold them at about $39 as a reference. When I worked as a sysadmin for schools though we generally had extras when I removed stolen or damaged devices.

Our city’s purchasing policy says we have to go through state approved contracts/vendors before going to other vendors. I was just informed that Staples has a state wide contract, and the sales rep is answering my emails, so they get our business going forward.

Ahhh, yeah. It’s super annoying. The amount of government agencies and districts I deal with that are “contractually obligated to purchase from X company” is grotesque. Especially considering it’s “technically” illegal.

Good luck with getting what you need!
