Texts between Joey Gibson of Patriot Prayer and Lt Jeff Niiya showed months of exchanges, including tactical information

This is old news for those of us in Portland, but it’s probably new (but not surprising) to other folks.

          "The Portland Police Bureau has frequently cited staffing shortages as a reason larger contingents of officers cannot separate groups that have historically engaged in political violence.

          “The Portland Police Bureau is prepared to monitor this event and may make arrests for crimes when resources allow. That does not always happen in the moment,” the bureau said in a written statement Friday. “Just because arrests are not made at the scene, when tensions are high, does not mean that people are not being charged with crimes later.”"

          To be clear, Multnomah County, where Portland is located, has a law stating that it’s illegal to carry a loaded firearm (open or otherwise) unless you have a concealed carry permit.

          At no point were these radicals asked to show ID and we know for a fact the majority of them come down from Washington and we do not have concealed carry reciprocation with Washington (or any other State for that matter.)
