    I think its great to call out the practice. Its like having to jump over a stick everytime to participate in the media discourse without being discredited.

    I would like to add to things. Please be aware of who is asking to condemn / distance yourself from x or y. It might mostly happen in public spaces like social media or in interaction with (liberal) media, but if a comrade asks you this or something similar in private and in good faith, they might actually just need to know you are actually a safe person or group to be around.

    I also would like to caution everyone to reproduce this kind of of power move in their own bubble or local / social media discourse. I have seen it multiple times (mostly hexbear tho) where people need to condemn Israels oppression of palestinians or to use specific language like apartheid, genocide or settler colonialism to be able to participate in discussions around this topic and I dont believe that to be helpful at all.
