So wouldn´t the logical solution be to turn it into a one manufacturer event? I mean, if the talent of guys like MM or FQ, who are seriously good riders, is not enough to make their bikes keep up with bikes from Ducati or KTM, what´s the solution here? If ONLY the rider should make the difference, EVERYTHING else needs to be the same, right?
I don’t think having a single-brand competition is a good thing. In my opinion, they should regulate aerodynamics with certain restrictions. Nowadays, with the pressure exerted by aerodynamics, all the drivers brake very late. They have only one efficient line to follow. It’s like going on rails. I think that introducing a regulation for aerodynamics (perhaps restricting the size to certain maximum measurements) and, above all, introducing a second brand of tires, we would begin to witness a “competition” again. I even think that the unique electronic control unit is a serious mistake.
