So, my hair was too long and I needed a haircut. So, I was then deciding what haircut I would get. Then I remembered that the fade cut is haram (according to Hadith) so just out of spite for Allah and his pdf file prophet (piss be upon him 😁) I got a fade. (The red spots are because of dandruff issues). I guess I’m going to hell. Btw the Hadith that forbids faded hair is this one from Sahih Muslim, Book 18, Hadith 123:

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “There are two types of people who will be punished in Hell and whom I have not seen: men having whips like the tails of cows and they will be beating people with them, and, women who will be dressed but appear to be naked, inviting to evil; and they themselves will be inclined to it. Their heads will appear like the humps of the Bactrian camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Jannah and they will not smell its fragrance which is perceptible from such and such a distance.”

Yes, I don’t get it. Grew up in a Muslim family, I’m not a real Muslim anymore, but I’ve never heard of this. All my parents wanted was for my brothers to look ‘neat’. Like short hair, no beards. Moustaches were allowed so my father could laugh at my brothers trying to grow something.

I wonder if it’s more a regional thing and you’re from another country or something?

Afaik not. Just Google photos of streets in Muslim countries and you’ll find a lot of fade haircuts

Yeah, and also that hadith in the post is about ponytails, not fade cuts.
