It’s how I’ve always pronounced it though. For decades. I don’t really care if it riles people up because it feels weird af saying it the other way. Also, the creators say it’s jif so it doesn’t really matter what anyone thinks that’s just what it is lol
I’m willing to let people say it however they want without harassment. But when they bring up the “But this guy says its this way, so it has to be true” that I get tetchy.

But JIF is another file format (JPEG interchange format), so the creator was stupid to say GIF is pronounced as jif.
