Taiwan’s Foxconn, one of Apple’s largest suppliers, is being investigated by authorities in China, according to state media.

The probe comes weeks after founder Terry Gou announced his bid for Taiwan’s presidency and stressed that he won’t be pressured by Beijing, despite his extensive business operations in the country.

While it is unclear whether the investigations are connected to Gou’s entrance into the presidential race, analysts said the move will send jitters through foreign businesses in China.

That guy is a fuckin plant for China. Guarantee if he gets elected he will defang Taiwan and let China have more influence for the sake of “unification.”

Taiwan needs to reject this candidate hard so China doesn’t think about using a CCP plant again

I don’t believe this whole tax investigation one bit and I think this is a ruse to make Gou look like a “persecuted” outlier going against China to look like a hero for “going against the system.”

The CCP knows they can’t take over Taiwan by military force, so now they’re going to take a page from the USA GOP playbook and are going to attempt to take it over from the inside of their government with elected CCP agents who have the power to appoint other agents to slowly chip away at their sovereignty until they’re like Hong Kong.
