All of the three people with dual Italian-Israeli citizenship who went missing after the Oct. 7 attack on Israel by the Hamas militant group have died, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Monday.

“Unfortunately Nir Forti has also died. He was the last of the 3 missing Italian-Israelis,” Tajani said on X, the social media platform. “Dying at the age of 29, brutally killed by terrorists, is profoundly unjust,” he added.

Hours earlier, Tajani had announced the death of Lilian Le Havron, wife of Eviatar Moshe Kipnis who had been confirmed dead on Oct. 17. The couple lived in Kibbutz Be’eri, 3 miles (5 km) from Gaza, one of the first areas to be hit by Hamas.

Ignoring the first sentence of the article that clearly explains why your comment is stupid, can you elaborate a little more for which situation your comment wouldn’t be stupid?

It’s simple really. They were Italians and they moved to Israel because Israel basically gives citizenship to anyone of Jewish descent. They are settlers and they are part of an ongoing genocide. Can you please elaborate on how you don’t know anything about the history of Israel and Palestine and yet still call people’s comments stupid?

How does that make them not Italian? They’re still Italian citizens, even Italian blood (if you care about that). It doesn’t matter if they’re in Palestine, Israel or outer space - they’re still Italian.

Well they decided that they were Zionists first and Italian second and decided to move to Israel. These aren’t people from us moving to Greece for retirement. As far as I am concerned they moved there to support a Jewish state.

Even if everything you say is true, which I know you cannot prove so I won’t ask it of you, they’re still Italian. So yes, your comment(s) are stupid.

Not understanding the basics of how citizenship works is pretty stupid.

If we want to talk about history, when was the last time the land immediately outside of Gaza was claimed by any Palestinian government?

Because the boundaries of the Gaza Strip were establish in 1949, so there’s no functional legal difference between living there and living in Tel Aviv.

So, if you’re saying that you think the murder of all Israelis is justified, which does seem to be what you’re implying, kindly have the guts to at least openly say it.

      Wut.

Based on the Green Line Be’eri is within Israel, not Gaza, thus they’re living in Israel, not occupying Palestine land. How are they “aren’t innocent”

They’re just trying to say “I think all Israelis should be murdered” without actually having to say that out loud, since openly advocating for a second Holocaust is still out of fashion, at least for now.

That is like saying every American killed at pearl harbour was a settler and occupier - hell its worse because those were military deaths.
