But seriously, I hate how people assume you’re a conservative if you say or do anything against the “blue team”. I’ve voted for democrats my whole life but I just found this whole situation to be funny and I remembered it recently.
Ignorance can make you find a lot of things. Funny that aren’t. I’m on the tribal rolls, have attended tribal events. And even my father isn’t quite one percent genetically. The funny thing about genetics is that in just a couple generations all relevant markers could be gone. It is extremely unlikely. But absolutely possible. Throw in a few more generations and it only gets worse. It’s how genetics works.
If you don’t want people to think you’re a conservative. I suggest stop acting like one and carrying their water. Just a humble suggestion.

Somehow I doubt people would have a problem with a post poking fun at Anthony Weiner’s nude pics from a few years back or Ted Cruz going on vacation during a hurricane. On the flip side, I’m sure a meme about Khamala Harris keeping such a low profile would be downvoted to hell.
Look, I get your point about seeming conservative but we should be comfortable mocking both side of the political spectrum. You fucks clearly aren’t comfortable with that because it goes against the echo chamber in here. I try to spread the love evenly, but it’s clear that the culture on Lemmy won’t allow certain topics to be the subject of humor.
Those on what Americans consider the left are right wing. Warren herself, despite how left she’s portrayed, is a former republican even.
No one’s going to defend Anthony Weiner or Ted Cruz because what they did was obvious and craven. Pretty much describes everyone on the far right in the United States. Which is why you don’t see a lot of defense of them. And vice president’s generally always keep a low profile. It’s not just Harris and it’s not even noteworthy. Criticize her on her prosecutorial record. There’s something that you can actually critique.
