Why isn’t it so popular compared to mastodon? I just found out about it and it looks pretty mature imo, it’s only popular with japanese people.

      I don’t know, maybe westerner community is a bit myopic and tunnelvisioned onto mastodon only.
      There are a fork of misskey that focused on western culture and gaining popularity lately named Calckey. You can try that. It is as good as misskey.
