Are there any other good modem movies that have black and white counterparts? The only other one i can think of is The Day The Earth Stood Still and the remake of that isn’t even that good.
This question comes about as my really enjoying The Thing, finding out it had an earlier version, and then finding i enjoyed that version more and for different reasons. I’d love to branch out and watch more monochrome movies with modem ties.
This isn’t quite what you asked, but The Mist has a black and white version that is apparently very good.
Mad Max: Fury Road also fits this. not quite what was asked, but a good ride!
also not quite the same thing, but Jodorowsky’s Dune is a doco about a version of the Dune movie that never got made. also the older Dune movie by David Lynch is not good, but a ride none the less!
It’s the best way to watch it. I imported the Canadian DVD back in the day to get the B&W version.
