Is it that safe to have a 4 year old alone grazing goats? I guess, there is not much actively to do while they graze, but nobody watches the child for accidents or well being and somehow they trust for her to generally keep watch over the goats. I don’t think I would’ve had the attention span for that at 4 years old.
People trust dogs to look after thier sheep. As long as you consider the child expendable, it’s all good. My understanding is that it wasn’t so long ago that was widely true in the US, so I can imagine it might still be true elsewhere.
