Supporting Ukraine’s fight against a foreign invader, specifically the successor state to the US’s long standing Cold War opponent. Easy to see how this will help US security in the long run.
Supporting an apartheid government in it’s Final Solution to end a long standing Question about an undesired group in a neighboring occupied territory. It’s a bit harder to see how this helps US security. I guess one could argue that, Palestinian children won’t grow up to hurt the US, if they are killed before they grow up. But, that’s not really good for building long term peace and stability.
