Stimulant drugs including cocaine, MDMA and multiple types of amphetamines contributed to roughly half of all accidental overdose deaths in Canada from 2020 to 2021, according to a new report by Statistics Canada that also tracked a sharp rise in overdoses.

Fear mongering on MDMA again. The numerous studies over the years have shown that if it’s pure, it’s unlikely to cause death.

I mean that is a pretty sizeable qualifier considering most people don’t get MDMA directly from the source.

Like many other drugs it should be regulated and sold legally so that is less of a concern.

The problem is MDMA’s street name started as Ecstacy (later Molly of course), but X got cut with other things and fucked it.

When I was partying in the 90s, we had test kits to look for other substances. If MDMA wasn’t pure, we’d probably not take it. We also knew our sources.

That’s weird. The boy aged 14, thought he was buying 3 capsules @ 100mg each. But was sold 10.

The boy took all 10 =1g. I’m assuming the boy thought 300mg was dosed out into 10 caps.

Didn’t know 1g had a risk of death. I’ve had multiple friends take really good MD at this amount and been ok. Yeh, it’s ridiculous, especially since myself and others tell them it’s not good.

This is more of a maths/education issue and really disgusting behaviour from that drug dealer from the fact he’s selling to minors.
