Ad lib, Alias, Alibi ,Alma mater ,Alter ego, Ante meridiam/Post meridiam, Bona fide ,Carpe diem, Caveat, Consensus, Ergo, Et cetera, In memoriam, Magnum opus, Per capita, Per se, Pro bono, Status quo, Veni vidi vici, Verbatim, and Vice versa are latin words that are still commonly used across all languages.
Latin, a language used for thousands of years is far from off-the-cuff.
It’s pointless for us to argue over dictionary definitions.
Latin is pretty basic, says what it means by design.
English… we are speaking English.
Then don’t use Latin.
Agreed, I wont use Latin, I don’t know it. As a bonus, I wont use greek either.
