Ooh you raise a good point there. Loki could end up being a huge piece of the puzzle in fighting Kang in the Kang Dynasty.
At this point, I’m hoping he’s a central player, but also gets to be somewhat villainous. Perhaps he ends up becoming an ally of Kang because he realizes that it’s essential for the resolution of the war for him to be on “the wrong side” - because Lokis always lose.
Loki always loses because lokis gift is making people be the best versions of themselves.
Mobius told him so in season 1.
Loki will save time and space from kang… But he will be doomed to either perpetually repeat his loop or he will sacrifice himself in order to win the multiversal war for his friends / family.
And by that point Tom will be done with the character… so it’ll be a full complete redemption.
To your point tho… Loki is the most popular character in modern mcu… he will be the cornerstone of what’s to come… there’s do way they will do a shift to villain in the 11th hour and sour the decade worth of good will and ticket sales.
