how is it that both Black Mirror S6E1 and S6E2 are dogshit? :((((((( this is the kind of dread i can only get from the show that i’ve been longing for, but this time it’s from the show dying :((((((((((((((((((
deleted by creator
idk?? if so maybe they can just expand on the previous episodes but like urgh i’d rather have just one episode every few years than have them put out these subpar idk parang mga comeback pag Kpop HAHA ganon na lang eurgh cmon :(
My speculation: I think the creator, Charlie Brooker, intentionally made this show worse because they don’t own or don’t have massive creative control on this show anymore. They made a nod in S06E05 by introducing a new label, “Red Mirror,” focusing on horror-themed stories rather than sci-fi/techno-themed. “Loch Henry” and 'Demon '79" are clearly not belong to Black Mirror, and are uniquely made.
I don’t know what happened to Charlie Brooker with Mazey Day. That was straight-up C-grade movie. lol
well i guess i’ll just follow where they end up going when they get their creative control back. Netflix just fucks wth
Netflix has nothing to do with this. Charlie Brooker himself wants to reinvent the show. Kung napanood mo na ang Demon '79, yun na ang simula.
Yo… I fully agree with you this season has been meh. Episode 6 nalang hindi ko napapanood.
Lumang theme naman na kasi yung episode 1. Social media bad, internet bad. Rehashed over and over again every season.
Wala na yung moral dillema na nagpapa self reflect sa viewer. It’s more on shock and awe now for the sake of it.
no shock and awe was felt
Kikuo - Gomenne Gomenne hit harder in a few minutes than these episodes did
Black Mirror to US was a really big mistake :( but idk SS Callister was good? Playtest was good??? wtf :(
Me and the wife have been huge fans ever since nasa
BBCChannel 4 pa siya. While the tone shifted drastically with the move to Netflix, I can sorta see why they nearly pivoted away from it completely this season by going absurdist and meta-humor. There’s only so much you can do with “technology is bad” and being known for twists e.argh but grr idc give me back my tech future bleak dread shit
but i’d agree if they’re worried people might emulate their ideas if they’re too close to home
It wasn’t aired on BBC. Black Mirror was first aired on Channel 4, counterpart ng BBC. Black Mirror is the reason I gained knowledge of Dogme 95 (typically an ultra-guerilla style of filmmakimg) from S01E01.
Yeah, I missed the vibe of S01 and S02 na napaka-bleak ng storytelling, and thick UK and Scottish accents. Haha
Channel 4 pala sorry, haha. Basta around 2010-13 we were binging British shows hard. Nagsimula sa Sherlock, napunta sa Happy Valley, The Fades, Utopia, The Shadow Line, and so on.
Black Mirror is also what got me into looking for similar shows, to no avail. People always recommend anthology shows, but it’s a different type of anthology. There’s nothing quite like it. It did get me into Jam, which was a series I never would have come across.
I recommend this show for its innovation. The animations are state-of-the-art. Be warn: intense graphics, flashing lights, explicit sexual content.
Yes! I loved the Three Robots episode, although the gut punch happens in the end.
and hindi lang siya diverse sa themes and genres. pati art style din. if you like animated movies, you will be spoiled by the variety. ganda ng art, ex- Jibaro.
Jibaro is a chef’s kiss. I was astounded how “ultra-realistic” that episode.
