Put the finishing touches on two pedal clones I built over the last few weeks.

Left is a clone of the EAE Model FET. Which itself is based on a Sunn Model T. This one didn’t turn out as well as I hoped. Probably used some bad components or it’s not biased right. I can make it sound good but only on specific settings. Otherwise there’s sputter/static on the low strings.

The HM-2 clone on the other hand turned out great. It’s a little bass heavy with everything at 10 so I’ve been turning the bass down a little. I figured since you kind of do one thing with an HM-2 it would be silly for me to buy the HM-2w.

I have one more pedal I’m finishing that I’m really excited about that I’ll hopefully share later this week.

About a year and a half. If you build get a good soldering iron. I had a cheap one and it made learning frustrating.

That’s the one consistent advice I hear, in particular one that gets hot enough quick enough.

Most DIY stuff is drives since it’s all analog unless you know how and have equipment to program DSP.

Nice. Which were you happiest with?

Disaster Transport Jr for sure. Great sounding analog delay.
