Plenty of single moms making it on their own in spite of adversity. The classic example of immigrants with nothing but the clothes on their back making it in spite of all the hardships they face. Minorities owning businesses and prospering. As much as you don’t want to believe it, people prosper all the time in the face of adversity without relying on others to do it for them.
