Jerboa should update its Google Play preview images. The images look very outdated and not very eye pleasing and it doesn’t reflect how great and nice this client truly has become!

Agreed. The app is way better than the page would make it appear. Loving it and Lemmy in general so far.
It looks good but is it supposed to support logins? Just keeps saying “login first” no matter what I click… Can’t find any login settings.
It’s not obvious where you are supposed to login; I struggled to find it at first too. Open your hamburger menu on the left, and at the top you should see a little arrow pointing down. Click it, and a new button should appear called “Add Account”, and click it.
There, you can select what Lemmy instance you want to login with, then put your E-mail and password.
I clicked on everything else for minutes… Didn’t even see the down arrow. Probably should make login a bit more visible. But the app is very nice!
Ideally instead of just complaining at you about the need to login it would just open the prompt for you. It took me a while as well.
Yup that would be best actually.
Yeah, the app still needs more ironing out, adding more features, and bixing some bugs, but the app is in active development, and overall the app is pretty cool.
Boost for Reddit had the login in the exact same place too… Caught me off guard and looking round for quite sometime too :)
Does this only work with the instances that show in the drop down list? I joined mander, but when I manually typed that in (mander, mander.xyz, https://mander.xyz) it just says that it’s not a Lemmy instance - I’m 95% sure that it is… But I’m still a slightly confused noob!
It worked for me, I just typed lemmy.today in the box and my instance was not in the drop down list.
You are welcome to sign up :)
I’ve managed to get it to work, my force closing the app and then reopening. I’ll check out the communities on your instance though!
Ok I’m installing it… Gah
