    Why is ‘threatens its existence’ in quotes?

    I mean, I know why. I disagree that it’s okay. Hedging like this is why we’re in this situation. It’s directly damaging.

        Yes because they’re too scared to, or otherwise prevented / forbidden / directed not to, say it themselves.

        Congratulations on finding the big secret reason, “because it’s a direct quote”. Also - fun fact - it’s not quoted in the article. Search for it.
