Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said it was time for Germany to be "a grown up country" in terms of security policy. Pistorius said Russia's war against Ukraine had altered the role of Germany and the Bundeswehr.

The grey caps are of its mountain branch, the ‘Gebirgsjäger’. Other land forces like tanks, artillery, pioneers have coloured wool berets. Navy and Air Force Uniforms are way more modern.
Those uniforms remind me of the WWII uniforms. The German military certainly has some historical credibility.

They certainly could be doing more to avoid the association with WW2 uniforms lol
