So this might be self centered as hell, but I just finished watching Ted Lasso and it’s really hard not to think that Richmond is supposed to be a stand in for us.
It almost destroyed the final episode for me because I started grappling with the idea that, for a sports movie, it actually is better if you don’t win it all from a narrative point of view. But damn, does it hurt to be reminded of how we felt for those few weeks.
Maybe someday if I rewatch it after a different season, I’ll be able to enjoy it as intended.

I just finished Ted Lasso last week, and when they revealed at the airport of what happened in the league all I could say was, “of course”.
I understand it. I also hate it.
