I am not a computer engineer or a software developer. I have never set up a server in my life. I want to set up a server on my old computer by watching videos and doing the same things that were done. Is there a video that will tell me how to set up our own server as if I were 5 years old?     There’s not going to be one for lemmy. The closest you will get is by searching “Lemmy easy deploy” on github. There is not going to be a one size fits all for deploying a publicly available server, and honestly if you don’t know the risks I wouldn’t do it. But if you want to, searching up how to install Ubuntu Server will give you a start.
