    Ah, so very close to that old world recipe (Nordic? Slavic?) “Lurchenhürrlen”. I can almost smell this picture. The steamy tang stands out.

      My exposure has been through polish diaspora cooking, so I’d say this particular dish is closer to Zupa Ogórkowa, but it’s certainly cobbled together and not “authentic”.
