How you can tell someone’s an alcoholic when they don’t even drink. Don’t ever try it if that’s your brain’s default setting toward it.

Huh? When did I say anything about alcoholics? I was just calling out the narrative and the push that drinking because you’re single is normal or somehow a healthy behavior. Wasn’t supposed to be this deep, just a callout on behavior which can very quickly spiral out of control. 1 in 12 men and 1 in 25 women have an alcohol problem in the us.

Idk I’ve been recently trying to live a more healthy and sober life (despite not having issues with substances in the past) and honestly just feel disconnected with the obsession of drinking. Didn’t mean to offend or anything

I think the vibe is supposed to be that they have to act married now and she can still party and have fun. Drinking is just used as a symbol of a carefree life.

However I do agree about trying to lead a healthy life, here in rural Canada I would say way more than 1:12 men have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. I’m a casual drinker but I know a lot of drunks. And I mean beer for breakfast, driving around with a case of beer beside them and a Mickey in their pocket drunks, fully dependent alcoholics. Our cowboy culture really lets them slide on it, to a dangerous level.

I could see that perspective too good point. I took her looking away from the camera as a “well fuck” and less of a haha look how happy and how much fun I’m having. But that’s just my perception of a silly lil meme
