I’ve seen a lot of talks on the benefits of immutable distros (specifically Fedora Silverblue) but it always seemed to me as more of a hassle. Has anyone here been daily driving an immutable distro? Would you say it’s worth the effort of getting into?
Yay for me, using Kinoite since the beginning of this year.
NVIDIA drivers are surprisingly easy to install and other than installing the codecs and ffmpeg, it’s been a solid experience.
I would usually run into dependency hell on other distros, on a immutable system I just try to find Flatpak solutions first instead of installing apps on the ostree.
I make some use of the toolbx too and it mostly works.
