I want to wire an MCU to an IMU board and some Lemo sockets inside a 3D printed enclosure but the silicone wires I use are a pain to deal with in such a small case. Is there a counter indication to using magnet wires to hook them up? My 22 awg magnet wire is thinner than my 36 awg silicone wire.
36 awg wire is thinner than 22, but stranding and insulation can make the cable thicker.
A typical stranded 22 awg hookup cable consists of 7 awg 30 wires.
Thicker isn’t always better, but more often than not.
I’m not 100% sure where you’re going with this…
