Benjamin Mallery, 32, pleaded guilty to the felony charge in Caledonia County Superior criminal court under a plea deal with the Vermont Attorney General’s Office. At his forthcoming sentencing hearing, both sides agreed to recommend a jail sentence of 18 months to five years — all suspended except for 60 days — with 10 years of probation.
Apparently, there is a penalty for stupidity.
