minus-square@Duchesslink2•1 year agoyeah i think the best horror stories have other genres interwoven in them, one of my favourite examples being the yellow wallpaper. fear is a slow build so it works best to play with other emotions while you’re ramping up to a big scare.
I just love that at its core it’s a tragic love story more than anything else, enhances the body horror aspects.
