EU Parliament voted nearly unanimously for a new draft of “Common rules promoting the repair of goods,” featuring strong changes championed by advocates.
Bicycles are included, as well as welding equipement?
The new rules apply to ten categories of products that are currently covered by ecodesign requirements: smartphones and tablets, bicycles (including e-bikes), washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, fridges, displays, welding equipment, vacuum cleaners and servers.
Is this only for electronics? So it won’t stop bike shops from making you buy a front gear shifter when you only want the rear gear shifter.
