The title is a bit misleading. Tim doesn’t seem to provide a solution here, he is making an argument against the semantics of calling it a stalemate, which I agree with. This war is not a boardgame.
The issue is that at this point there is nothing that Ukraine has asked for that they havent received. It is a tough war and rooting out the Russian invaders will not be simple. We saw Russia trying to puncture the front in hopes od a breakthrough in advivka and they failed miserably with tremendous human and material loss. If Ukraine were to try a similar offensive it wouldnt be much different for them. Other than turning over our entire military I don’t know how allies can provide an asymmetric advantage that would allow them to plow the Russians back. More anti-air? More missiles? Aircraft? More drones? It’d be awesome if we can somehow help them gain air superiority.

F-16s have yet to arrive, and while Ukraine has received every kind of thing they’ve requested, they’ve certainly not received the necessary numbers for it. A teaspoon of sugar doesn’t do much in a recipe for cake.

And they always arrived too late to make a breakthrough, according to an interview by the Economist.
It do be makin’ the medicine go down tho…
