I think it was fairly evident that DJT is a polarizing individual that not every Republican/conservative liked. I’ll say it for the hundredth time, conservatives existed long before him, and will exist long after. To most people who consider themselves “conservative”, I’d say its fair to assume we want smaller government, transparent fair taxes across the board, gov accountability, a strong defensive military, and to be left alone if we aren’t doing anything wrong.

That’s what conservative means to me and most I’ve ever sat down and discussed over it. We aren’t marching down the streets waving flags and beating up minorities. We aren’t firebombing abortion clinics. Those are fringe groups just like the Left and they should be held accountable. Sadly, we know those who scream the loudest/burn down the most cities get the most press.

Trump is dominating the republican primary.

He is a fascist because of his Hitler-esc rhetoric. And that makes the majority of republicans fascist sympathizers/supporters. That will always be a bigger issue than whether or not conservatism can be defined by “small government” and so on.

How can you be comfortable being a part of a political party who’s main leader is basically quoting Hitler?

“We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections,” Trump said toward the end of his speech, repeating his false claims that the 2020 election was stolen. “They’ll do anything, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America and to destroy the American Dream.”

Trump went on further to state: “the threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous and grave than the threat from within. Our threat is from within. Because if you have a capable, competent, smart, tough leader, Russia, China, North Korea, they’re not going to want to play with us.”

Who said I was a registered Republican? You made an assumption that is definitely wrong.

Also, you don’t want them to root out the fascists? So you’re just cherry picking arguments that fit your narrative?

Oh that’s right, everyone you don’t like is Hitler. Make a new argument. What did he ACTUALLY do that hurt you? Or are you hurt by words?

Who said I was a registered Republican?

You don’t need to be registered to be a supporter/participant.

Also, you don’t want them to root out the fascists?

I genuinely have no idea how you arrive at such a though from what I said.

Oh that’s right, everyone you don’t like is Hitler.

No, people who call their political opponents “vermin” in need of destruction are facist. If (effectively) quoting Hitler isn’t enough for somebody to be considered fascist, then there is nothing that could ever make somebody a fascist.

But this is a solid strawman, gotta give props for that. I said Trump is a fascist, not that he is Hitler.

What did he ACTUALLY do that hurt you?

Years of shitty, backwards policy that was invariable the wrong decision basically every time.

I already broke down some of the specifics in a separate thread:

Or are you hurt by words?

Seems like you’re the one that’s hurt right now.
